“ Authentic restaurant recommended by Salvadorans with speedy service. Casual ambiance with brightly painted murals on the walls and plenty of tv screens. The food tastes authentic, homemade and delicious. The pupusas, yucca frita con chicharrón, carne guisado, and the pastelitos de carne are worth ordering. Parking is limited. ”
“ I've been coming here for several years. They have excellent pupusas. Not greasy. Good masa to filling ratio. Very good curtido (pickled cabbage ) to go with the pupusas. When it's cold out, I enjoy their elote atole ( sweet corn gruel beverage). The chicken soup is excellent; served Salvadoreño style with grilled chicken on the side and a bowl of rice. Many of the waitstaff have worked here for several years. They are professional and attentive. Writing this review makes me want to drop by for lunch! ”
“ I had no idea this was the sister restaurant to the one down the street, El Buen Gusto, until I saw the menu and asked to confirm. Family run Mexican and Salvadoran restaurant with delicious authentic and traditional meals. I always get their pupusas and carnitas and they don't disappoint. Sometimes I order a 32 oz to go cup of refried beans because they're so good. I bet they use the lard from the carnitas; delicious!!! Highly recommend this restaurant!!! ”
“ My favorite restaurant for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Affordable, good, sweet staff and it's authentic ”
“ Wow! This reminded me of my mom's home cooking! The food was amazing! Taste was perfection! I had the carne guisada plate, my wife had the Salpicón with casamiento and the kids had pupusas! All had authentic Salvadoran flavor. I'm from the SGV but definitely would return. The service was great minus a little glitch with a pupusa we ordered! Overall the place was great! Prices were reasonable and enjoyed the vibe and colors of the place! Reminded me of the culture and ambiance! Will say loved the refrescos de Cevada and Ensalada típico drinks of El Salvador! ”
